How often does it need to be cleaned?
We recommend a thorough cleaning every 15 to 20 days , depending on usage and the environment. If the water contains more sediment or if the climate is very humid, you can clean it a little more frequently.
What do you need?
-
Running water
-
Soft sponge or natural brush (new or very clean)
-
Neutral soap (only for plastic parts)
-
A clean cloth or linen
🔸 Step 1: Cleaning the ceramic pieces and the filter candle
-
Use only water and the soft part of a new sponge .
-
Gently clean the inside and outside of the clay pieces.
-
Clean the candle as well, always without soap or chemicals.
-
⚠️ Never use lemon, sugar, detergents or industrial cleaners.
Ceramic is porous: it can absorb flavors or chemicals that will then pass into the water.
🔹 Step 2: Cleaning the plastic parts
-
Use water and the soft part of a sponge with a little neutral soap .
-
Clean the lid, the bottom tank, the tap, and the washers.
-
Rinse well with water to avoid soap residue.
Extra tips
-
After washing, allow all parts to air dry before reassembling the filter.
-
Do not expose the ceramic to direct sunlight for long periods: it may crack.
-
If you see white spots (efflorescence), you can remove them with a cloth dampened with water only.
A small gesture, a big impact
Cleaning is an essential part of your filter's use. It not only ensures purer water, but also strengthens your connection with an object made to last, beautiful in its simplicity, and useful in everyday life.
